Terms of Service

Summary

This app is a study organiser. It does not teach you, does not assess you and does not produce content of its own: study roadmaps are generated by an artificial intelligence you choose and run in your own account, and the app only assembles the request, stores the result and tracks your progress.

Three things matter more than the rest:

  1. Roadmap content is produced by AI and is not checked by us. It may contain errors, outdated information or confident inventions. Do not use it as professional advice — see section 3.
  2. Your data lives on your device, and the backup is yours to make. We have no server of ours that stores your data, so we hold no copy of your progress — see section 5. All the app sends is anonymous usage and crash reports, described in the Privacy Policy.
  3. There is nothing to buy in this version, no subscription and no sign-up — see section 9.

This summary is not a substitute for the rest of the document.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it — and if you have already installed it, uninstall it. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel.

The app has no age verification. If you are under 18, use it with the knowledge and consent of whoever is responsible for you. A study roadmap is open-ended AI-generated content, which is the reason for that recommendation.

When the app is obtained from a store (App Store, Google Play), that store's terms also apply to distribution and installation. These terms cover the app; they do not replace the store's terms or those of whichever AI provider you use.

2. What the app is, and what it is not

The app is a program that runs on your device — in a browser, on a computer (Windows, macOS, Linux) or on a phone (Android, iOS). It:

It is not a service: there is no account, no login, no server of ours that stores your data, no sync between devices and no support with a contracted response time. The only thing it sends is anonymous usage and crash reports, which you can switch off — see the Privacy Policy. It is also not a course, a certification, an educational institution or a substitute for any of those.

The app does not call any AI provider. That is a technical property rather than only a promise: it applies a Content Security Policy that stops its own code from opening a connection to any origin but its own and our own anonymous-reports address, and there is no API key embedded anywhere in it.

3. The content is AI-generated and is not professional advice

Study roadmaps — titles, descriptions, questions, answers, time estimates and suggested material — are produced by a language model, from the request you assembled, in the AI account and service you chose. We do not review, verify or endorse that content. We cannot: it never passes through us.

As a result:

You are responsible for judging what the model returned before studying from it, and for any decision you make on that basis.

4. You are the one who transmits to the AI provider

Roadmap generation has three steps, and the second one is yours:

  1. the app assembles the request locally and puts it on your clipboard, or saves it as a file;
  2. you run it in whichever AI service you prefer, under that service's account and terms;
  3. you paste the reply back into the app.

So in step 2 it is that provider's terms and privacy policy that apply, not these. What you wrote in the request may be used by them under their own rules, including for training models, if that is their practice. We have no control, no visibility and no responsibility over that step. If it matters to you, read the provider's terms before you paste.

The app includes a few shortcuts to well-known AI services, and a roadmap may contain links to study material on any site. None of them is a recommendation from us. We have no relationship with those services and we are not answerable for their content, availability or practices. A roadmap pasted from an unknown source may link anywhere, which is why the app shows each link's real host next to its text — so you can check before clicking.

5. Your data, and who is responsible for backing it up

What the app records — progress, study time, streak, preferences and your roadmaps — stays on your device. The detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Because there is no server of ours that stores your data, there is no backup on our side; the only one is the one you make. The anonymous reports described in the Privacy Policy do not contain your progress. Settings › Data has an export button that writes everything to a JSON file, and it is the only way to protect your history.

Your data can be lost with no way for us to recover it, for example if you:

Mobile browsers also discard site storage under space pressure, without warning. Export if your data matters to you. We are not liable for the loss of local data, and we have no way to restore it.

6. Acceptable use

There is not much to prohibit here, because there is no server of ours that stores data and no other people's content to attack. What we ask:

The practical consequence of breaching this section is losing the right to use the app, under section 10. Since there is no account, there is nothing to suspend: the remedy is that you stop using it, plus whatever the law provides.

7. Ownership and licence to use

The app, its code, its visual identity, its name and the generator instruction document are ours or our licensors', and are protected by copyright. The LICENSE file at the repository root is the licence governing the software, and it is proprietary: nothing here grants you any right over the code beyond the right to use the app as distributed.

The app incorporates third-party open-source components whose licences are reproduced in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md and take precedence for the components they cover.

What you write and what you generate is yours. We claim no rights over the subjects you type, the free-text instruction you write or the roadmaps you generate, import or edit. They stay on your device and we never receive them. Whether the model's output is copyrightable at all, and by whom, is a matter between you and the AI provider — and one still unsettled in the law of several countries.

8. Warranties and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", with no warranty that it is free of defects, that it will run without interruption, that it is compatible with your device, or that generated content will be correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of local data, or the consequences of decisions taken on the basis of AI-generated content.

Two reservations, because Brazilian law comes before this document: nothing in this section removes the rights the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC) gives you, and nothing excludes our liability for wilful misconduct or for defects in the app itself. A disclaimer the law does not accept does not become enforceable by being written down — which is why this one is bounded rather than absolute.

9. Payments: there is nothing to buy in this version

In this version the app is free and complete: no subscription, no in-app purchase, no credits to buy, no feature behind a paywall, and we collect no payment data. There are no advertisements either.

We say so explicitly rather than leaving it out, because a document that does not mention payment tends to read as one that forgot to.

This is the section that will be replaced if and when the app offers paid features. At that point it has to cover price, billing, renewal, cancellation, the statutory right of withdrawal and refunds — and that is a material change under section 11, with a new effective date and notice inside the app.

10. Termination

You end this relationship by uninstalling the app; there is nothing to cancel. If you want to erase your data first, Settings › Data has "Delete everything on this device", and the export button is on the same screen.

We may discontinue the app, stop publishing new versions or withdraw it from the stores at any time. A copy already installed keeps working — it runs on your device and depends on us for nothing. That is the practical consequence of there being no server of ours that stores your data, and it favours the person using it.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version number. When they change:

Continuing to use the app after a material change has been notified means accepting it. If you do not agree with the new version, the way out is section 10.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Governing law and jurisdiction: Brasil.

For consumer disputes, the courts of the consumer's domicile apply, as provided by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC); otherwise, the courts of the provider's registered seat as identified at the top of this document.
